Why Wedding Design Studio
We are familiar with all of the wedding venues in the Lower Mainland as we have been in business for over 20 years and have designed over 1,500 weddings. Kim Raddysh, Owner and Creative Director of Wedding Design Studio, is always ahead of the trends as she travels to major international trade shows for inspiration.
One of our specialties that Brides are not aware of is designing Destination Weddings in beautiful British Columbia. Black Rock Resort, Bear Moutain in Victoria, Mary Winspear Hall in Sidney, Whistler, Kelowna, Sunpeaks Resort, and Kelowna are a few places we have designed gorgeous weddings.
Kim Raddysh| Owner and Creative Director From a young age Kim has always been an artist, with an eye for design. She is a credited floral artist, with formal training from Douglas College and has flourished into an award-winning event designer who has established herself as one of the leading designers in the Vancouver event industry. Her innovative ideas have been featured in countless magazines and television programs such as the Life Network, Breakfast Television and most recently Shaw TV’s Wedding Belles. One of her most memorable moments was when she was asked to design a bouquet for Queen Elizabeth upon her visit to BC in 1987.
Andy Raddysh| Owner and Logistics Coordinator Andy, Kim’s husband, received a degree in engineering from BCIT which led him to his first career with the Pacific Coliseum. He was in charge of coordinating the building operations for special events such as the Vancouver Canucks hockey games, prestigious concerts and trade shows. Ten years ago, Andy transitioned to working full-time alongside Kim at Wedding Design Studio to coordinate the logistics of our weddings and events. In addition, he now wows our team and clients by constructing custom decor pieces, such as birch candelabras, custom ceremony canopies and much, much more.
Haley Raddysh| Administrative Team Coordinator Haley Raddysh, daughter of Andy and Kim, has grown up immersed in the wedding industry as it was when she was just a baby that Kim started her own decor company. Now at twenty three years old, she continues to work part time for Wedding Design Studio in addition to working to complete a Bachelor of Arts degree at the University of the Fraser Valley. After a lifetime of experience learning alongside her Mom, she has acquired strong design skills and is a valuable member of the team.
Our Team The Wedding Design Studio team is exactly that, a team, working together to ensure that each wedding’s details are given special care. The team is made up of individuals passionate for creating stunning events, and for making each couple’s dream wedding come to life. Each team member has an incredible amount of expertise and experience in the industry that makes for a truly professional and extraordinary team.
